Having stated what ...
19227
reasons
were
for accepting Dr
Ayres' nominee, I deem it unnecessary
and altogether beneath me
to notice further this unjustifiable and ... uncalled for attack, except to assure Your Lordship that, from what I know of Dr. Wharry and Dr. Jordan, I feel convinced that I have acted in the best interest of the public service and of all those with
whom the Acting Colonial Surgeon
will be in contact, in appointing

I have the honour to be,
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient
Humble Servant,
P.S.
